Mary Rex, Accredited Tax Preparer

Mary Rex is a well-known tax consultant in the Spring-Ford area.  Mary Rex has owned her own business, Rex Tax Service for 36 years and has prepared tens of thousands of tax returns for area residents and businesses.

On the advice of her sister, also a tax consultant, Mary took a tax course and started preparing tax returns in 1976.  Mary has stayed current with the latest state and federal tax laws by attending seminars and conferences every year.

In 2006 Mary was granted the credential of Accredited Tax Preparer by the Accreditation Council for Accounting and Taxation.  ACAT accreditation is an independent verification that the credential holder has the expertise and qualifications to provide sound and accurate taxation and accounting advice to individuals and small businesses. Accreditation is earned through participation in study courses, examination, and experience, and maintained by continuing professional education and adherence to the ACAT Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct.

Mary is a member of The National Association of Tax Professionals.

Janet Etter
Tax Consultant

Janet Etter has worked as a tax consultant at Rex Tax Service for the past nine years.  Prior to that Janet had a 32 year career in education.  For most of that time she taught for the Spring-ford School District and still enjoys working occasionally as a substitute teacher.
After retirement in 1999 while deciding what to do with her extra time, Janet took a tax course, which she found to be a challenging and interesting change.  Since joining Rex Tax Service, she has become a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and attends their yearly seminars to remain up-to-date on federal and state tax changes.  Because of her background in education, Janet especially enjoys helping teachers with their tax concerns.

Lise Hackett
Tax Consultant

Lise Hackett has been a tax consultant in the Phoenixville and Spring City area for 18 years.  She took several tax classes in college.  She earned an AS in accounting degree in 1978 and an AS in Data Processing in 1982 from Champlain College in Burlington, Vt.  Lise earned her BS degree in Business Management in 1989 from Trinity College in Burlington, Vt. 
Prior to becoming a tax consultant her professional career includes experiences in the areas of accounting, auditing, programming, management and benefits administration.
She stays current with the latest tax laws by attending seminars every year.  Lise is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Susan Lusch
Office Assistant/Receptionist

Susan is our office assistant.  She answers our phones, makes appointments, and does our filing and many of the other little extras, enabling us to devote all our time and attention to better serve you, our client.

Terry Jones
Part time Office Assistant/Receptionist

Terry is our part time office assistant/receptionist. She gives Susan a break on weekends and one night a week.
